Gelatinous Cube loves Displacer Beast
and longs to embrace her from tentacle to tail,
ceiling to floor in an aspic of hug,
cleaving together, as enzyme to substrate.
Displacer Beast loves Gelatinous Cube
best from a distance. She feeds him her shadow
and waits in the corridor, switching her tentacles,
makes eye contact with her illusory eye.
