This week I'm taking a trip to Washington, D.C., where I'll be reading selections from the manuscript of What Love Is and What It Could Be at the Eastern Division meeting of the American Philosophical Association. This will be the first public appearance of material from the manuscript, which is exciting (if a little nerve-wracking).
I'm also delighted to announce that been offered a place on the Creative Writing MFA Program at UBC. I'm really looking forward to this opportunity to develop my writing skills for general audiences. I love writing for academics, but since beginning this project, through working on my book manuscript and other public-facing publications (see e.g. here and here), I've come to appreciate that I also love writing for everybody. And that there's no reason an academic shouldn't do both!
